Cavitation Cleaning
This is what sets us apart. We clean with the Cavidyne cavitation system, which removes even hard barnacle growth without grinding away the antifouling paint that protects your hull.
What cavitation cleaning actually is
Cavitation cleaning uses a stream of tiny water bubbles that collapse against the hull and knock growth loose. The energy that lifts the barnacles off is in the water itself, not in a hard pad scraping across your paint. That means the hard stuff comes off while the antifouling coating underneath stays intact.
The old way of cleaning a fouled hull is to scrub it with abrasive pads or scrapers. That works, but every aggressive scrub takes a little more of your bottom paint with it. Over a season of cleanings, that paint disappears, and repainting a bottom is one of the more expensive things you can do to a boat. Cavitation cleaning protects that investment.
Why it matters for your boat
- Removes hard barnacles and heavy growth that pads struggle with
- Leaves your antifouling paint in place, so it keeps working longer
- Gentle on gelcoat, running gear, and through-hull fittings
- Less paint loss means fewer haul-outs and repaints over the years
The Cavidyne system
We use equipment from Cavidyne LLC, one of the companies that builds cavitation cleaning tools for professional divers. It is the safest way we have found to take hard growth off a hull while keeping the coating that stops it from coming back. If you have paid for a good bottom job, this is how you make it last.
