Dock & Piling Maintenance Plans
Your boat is not the only thing barnacles attach to. Pilings, dock ladders, lift cradles, and seawalls all foul up too, and heavy growth wears them out and makes them a hazard.
Why pilings need attention
Barnacles and hard growth build up on pilings right at the waterline and below. Left alone, that growth traps moisture and grit against the wood or concrete and speeds up how fast a piling breaks down. Sharp barnacle shells on a ladder or a lift cradle are also an easy way to get cut. Clearing the growth keeps the structure sound and safe to use.
What a dock and piling plan covers
- Barnacle and growth removal on pilings above and below the waterline
- Dock ladders and steps cleared so they are safe to grab
- Boat lift cradles, beams, and bunks cleaned of growth
- Seawall faces and dock hardware checked and cleared
- A simple four-month cycle so it never gets out of hand
We set most docks on a four-month cycle, which keeps growth from ever getting heavy. If your pilings are already loaded up, we will get them clean first and then keep them that way.
